Designed in 1935 and part of MoMA's permanent collection, the Chair 66 is one of Aalto's most enduring dining chairs. The round birch seat, wide backrest and Aalto's patented L-leg give it a proportional simplicity that has kept it in continuous production for nearly ninety years. These examples retain their original bast cloth seats, which is increasingly rare, and have been painted white at some point over their lifetime, giving them a relaxed, lived-in quality.
Vintage condition with signs of use and paint wear consistent with age. Original seats in good condition. Structure solid throughout. Set of six available. Price per piece.
