The Eames Lounge Chair is one of those rare objects that needs no introduction. Designed in 1956 and inspired by the worn-in feel of a well-used baseball glove, it remains the most recognisable lounge chair of the 20th century. This example is the all-black configuration, which gives it a sharper, more architectural presence than the standard walnut version. Produced by ICF, one of the very few companies to hold an official Eames production licence, with the model code 670/B fused into the iron base confirming its provenance.

The leather is original to the piece and has been carefully preserved, with the natural patina and lived-in quality that only time produces. Shells and aluminium parts are in excellent condition with only light signs of use.
