Pair of Swedish Silver Needle Dishes, 1800s

Two small silver dishes from the golden era of Swedish silversmithing, each stamped and dated. One bears the mark of Adolf Theodor Lillja, Stockholm 1844, with a scrolled rococo border and engraved floral motif. The other is stamped by the Möllenborg-Féron workshop, Stockholm 1871, with a pierced leaf and vine rim. The Möllenborg workshop was Sweden's most prominent producer of decorative silverwork in the 19th century and their pieces are held in the Nationalmuseum collection in Stockholm.

At approximately 11 x 7 cm and 65 grams, these are intimate objects — equally at home on a desk, a dressing table, or a shelf. Age-related patina and wear throughout, consistent with their years.

Available for free collection from showroom. Shipping cost confirmed at checkout. Sold as a pair.
