Rare coffee table designed by Ilmari Lappalainen and produced by Asko in Finland during the 1950s. This elegant piece reflects the refined simplicity of early Scandinavian modern design, combining a warm teak top with slender black metal legs for a light and architectural appearance.
The rectangular tabletop showcases beautiful teak grain and a softly beveled edge, while the tapered metal legs give the table a distinctive, minimal silhouette typical of Finnish modernist furniture from the period. Its slightly elevated height makes it versatile as a coffee table, occasional table, or originally as a television table. A scarce example of Lappalainen’s work for Asko, rarely encountered on the market.
