Originally designed in 1935 by Alvar Aalto for Artek, the Chair 69 remains one of the cornerstones of Finnish modern design. Combining a solid birch frame with Aalto’s signature L-leg construction, the chair exemplifies his pursuit of warmth, simplicity, and functional beauty in everyday furniture.
The chairs dates from the second half of the 20th century and features brown leather upholstered seats, adding a refined, tactile contrast to the natural birch structure. The combination highlights both craftsmanship and comfort, making them ideal for dining spaces, studios, or modern interiors with a Nordic sensibility.
Good vintage condition consistent with age and use. The leather seats show marks and a few small holes, adding character without affecting functionality. The birch backrests and frames are clean and well-preserved, maintaining their natural finish and structural integrity. Set of four available. Price per piece.
